Intimate spring wedding in Montenegro

I recently had the pleasure of photographing an intimate wedding by the Montenegrin coast side in the picturesque city of Herceg Novi. This six-century-old city is located opposite the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, providing a stunning backdrop for a special day.

Getting ready

With only immediate family members present at their house among the Mediterranean trees, the couple got ready for the church ceremony in a calm atmosphere.
Despite a small mishap where someone accidentally threw away Jelisaveta's veil, she remained with a bright smile on her face the entire time.

The bride wore her late grandma's ring as her something old, something blue and something borrowed.

The timeless elegance of her pearls beautifully complemented the bride's simple, yet exquisite gown, enhancing her natural beauty with understated charm. The sleek, minimalist design of her classic Dior heels accompanied the clean lines of her dress, creating a harmonious and sophisticated ensemble.

Up to this point the newlyweds still haven't seen each other. The anticipation was growing and so did the nervousness.

A bit of Montenegrin wine to calm the nerves before the first look was just the right decision.

My belief is that every person should be framed in the moments they’ve felt the most loved and cared for.

Church Ceremony

The church ceremony took place in the beautiful Church of St. Michael the Archangel at the Belavista Square, which translates to "beautiful views". The church, dating back to the 1900s, provided a romantic and historical setting for the couple to exchange their vows. There was ring dropping, there were laughs and there were silent tears. The ceremony, in this intimate setting with just ten of us together, was incredibly touching.

At one point I literally had to stop and wipe away my tears so I can continue photographing.

There was so much love right there in that moment, I am glad I froze these moments forever.

Just Married!

After the ceremony, the couple took a leisurely stroll through the charming old streets of Herceg Novi, soaking in the atmosphere of the historic city.

Lunch with Cats and Seagulls

The whole family then enjoyed a delicious lunch overlooking the sparkling Adriatic Sea, with some playful kittens and seagulls joining them for the occasion.

but just the beginning of their story

The entire day was filled with love and joy, and I felt honored to capture the special moments for Jelisaveta & Spasoje. I hope these photos will serve as cherished memories for them for years to come.
